What is it that is so freeping difficult for people to understand about Ryan’s concerns? If he had come out singing Trump’s praises, y’all would be screaming about how quickly he got over his supposed concerns and that the whole thing was political theater.
If Trump is a good negotiator, he can win over Ryan. Give him time to do that. Sit back and let him demonstrate his skills.
The longer Trump waits to put an end to this crap, the weaker he looks. He should not appear to be a supplicant trying to curry favor with the GOPe.
The situation is this:
Ryan’s in a leadership position as Speaker. Part of being a leader is putting your own self-interest aside to carry out what’s expected of you. Which in Ryan’s case was to press for immediate unitynot sow immediate confusion and doubt with the weird mealy-mouthed hesitating excuses he made about “not being there yet.”
It was selfish and unbecoming of his position.
Not necessarily, and I think they have irreconcilable differences. Nothing wrong with that. The voters will sort it out.
‘If he had come out singing Trumps praises, yall would be screaming about how quickly he got over his supposed concerns and that the whole thing was political theater.’
Which raises the question, what else are you wrong about?
