The longer Trump waits to put an end to this crap, the weaker he looks. He should not appear to be a supplicant trying to curry favor with the GOPe.

Given what came out of the meeting, lack of "adoption of Trump" by the GOP, I think Trump comes off as confident and determined. He's giving his opponents in the GOP the space to sink themselves. This is a political process, he can't kick them out, and they can't kick him out.
In a way, this is "looking presidential" on a small scale. He is aiming to president of everybody, including the DEMs, and he has to allow negotiation and room to express harsh disagreement. The voters pick it up from there.

He doesn't look weak to me. This encourages me. I like that he isn't blowing off the Speaker of the House. Trump will need the ability to find common ground with world leaders. We can't just drop a nuke on anyone who doesn't bow to Trump's will. He says he's a negotiator. Let me see it.

The longer Trump waits to put an end to this crap, the weaker he looks. I see the opposite. The longer Ryan waits & others come aboard he will be seen as weak & leading from behind.
