Jim, you know far better than I, that a Free Republic depends on truth and honest discourse.
And just like yourself, I want the best viable most conservative candidate to win this election.
Mr. Trump currently fits that criteria. Cruz is dead to me.
Our forum does a disservice to our integrity ad credibility if critical news articles are censored from our membership.
I trust what’s posted here, and other than Drudge, is is my primary go to for news and information.
Becassured that adversaries are going to use every means possible to formulate destructive talking points targeting Mr. Trump’s real and mispercieved weaknesses.
Our membership must be kept aware of developments in order to effectively counter and supporter our candidate.
Jim, you just pulled a thread that provided an important development of Mr. Trump walking back his earlier suggestion of a temporary ban on Muslim immigrants.
We need to know about anything that is going to harm his candidacy and discuss constructive remedy.
Calling his campaign office en mass to show support for a position and imploring him to avoid “walking back” statements to avoid being seen as weak, is constructive.
Please let truth and facts prevail, no matter how inconvenient.
Remind us to mind our manners.

I don’t care if he walks back his “suggestion” but after considering the source (politico) and the poster’s history of posting anti-Trump garbage to incite flamewars I pulled it.
Haven’t heard Rush call Cruz “our guy”; I have heard him call Cruz the most conservative constitutionalist in the race, which is not to say he is electable. We have all been looking for an “electable” Cruz, but didn’t get one. He carries a good 1/3 of the party with him, though (by that I mean his die-hard Christian conservatism), so it is not a good idea to alienate us. I say “us” because I am a Christian conservative like Cruz; the difference between me and him (and his die-hards) is that I know the country will never elect one of us.
I knew this, and was on board with Trump from the start, right after I saw that first debate and realized he was not going to be buffaloed by the PC press, et al. I am more on board with Trump than ever today.
The fact that Cruz used Rush’s “he’s the most consistent, constitutional conservative in the race” comment in a commercial is regrettable, and Rush said so himself (while there is nothing to be done about it).
Rush? Open borders? No, he is not. Point-blank, period. He is not open borders.

Thanks, Jim. The anti-Trump propaganda is sometimes blatant, sometimes subtle. It appears there are still some who can't accept the recent results, and who continue to slander the nominee however they possibly can.
I thank you for everything that you do, and ask you to please stay vigilant.
For those who are still lukewarm or negative on Donald Trump: at least try to approach things with an open mind, instead of resorting to bias that has been instilled by those whose sole concern is denigrating the man, and whose only goal is his personal destruction.

Was for Trump from the day he announced, and a vociferous Trump advocate on FR from that day forth. Can hardly wait for Inauguration Day and being able to say President Trump. Hooray for those on FR that have championed Trump. The bottom line is that our candidate has won and we should all be very proud. Go Trump, the finish line is very close now.

As it relates to “Defending God,” it reminds me of Abraham Lincoln’s statement when a group of Methodist ministers came to visit him on a National Day of Prayer during the Civil War.
The Methodist ministers said, “Mr President, we will pray that God is on our side.”
To which President Lincoln replied, “That is not my concern.” “But that we are on God’s side is my concern!!!”
