Donald Trump received more international criticism Tuesday, this time from London's newly elected mayor, Sadiq Khan.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee had suggested Khan would be exempt from his proposed ban on Muslim foreigners entering the United States. But Khan, who is the first Muslim mayor of a major Western capital, wasn't impressed.
"Donald Trump's ignorant view of Islam could make both of our countries less safe -- it risks alienating mainstream Muslims around the world and plays into the hands of the extremists," Khan said.

Le Pen's daughter and current party leader, Marine Le Pen, has not endorsed Trump, though, and has said his proposed ban on Muslims is a step too far.
With Muslim immigration a much bigger problem (both numerically and politically) in France than in the US, you would think that she would adopt a stronger stance.
Western Europe committing suicide in full view of the entire world.
I am sure Trump will find more European buddies if the Brits exits the EU. They will need him to ease nationalist tensions.
I think that many in Europe are waking up to what’s happening to their countries, just as many Americans are finally starting to wake up. Political views and parties that were marginalized, vilified, and even banned 20 years ago are now becoming mainstream. The only question is whether it’s too late to turn things around.
Again, the MSM has blatantly lied.
Trump said we would stop Muslim migration to the use TEMPORARILY, until we get a handle on what is going on.
The new London Mayor has shown his ignorance of the facts, by now he KNOWS the facts, so if he continues, he will become STUPID.
IMO, Trump feels that the Mayor has been vetted in London, but based on his comments, I believe the Mayor should be investigated in the US before he could visit. His own words have created concern at least in this citizens mind.
In Trumps effort to be conciliatory, he has made a minor error, which I hope he corrects immediately, and that he makes a statement that would correct his previous one, stating that evidently every muslim wanting to come into the US must be investigated on a one on one basis, the effort to be Politically correct, have proven again to be futile.
Meanwhile, Trump averting another Bush Presidency and hopefully averting another Clinton Presidency will help prevent the internationalist's dream of a North American Union of coming true.
” The only question is whether its too late to turn things around.”
That is the question. It doesn’t help to have a P.C. little girl like Cameron in office.
There are legitimate arguments for being friendly with the bulk of Muslims, but certainly “be friendly or we will attack you” is not one of them.
What’s scary is that a lot of pundits think that Khan may eventually wind up as Prime Minister down the road.
“I really hope the UK withdraws from the EU. Brits want to have some say in their national affairs, as opposed to having unelected globalist bureaucrats in Brussels dictating them.”
I have long time friends ranging from Glasgow to London, and they share your sentiments.
I'm all in favor of friendly political and diplomatic relations with non-Islamist Muslim nations. That doesn't mean that we should welcome millions of them as immigrants into the US or Western Europe.
It wouldn't be so different from what we have now.
Well I guess Khan wants to avoid being held accountable for lapses in London's security, in the case of another terrorist attack there. He has Trump all lined up as a scape goat.
Wait for European politicians to start blaming terrorism on Trump now, instead of their own incompetence and bungling.
I strongly suspect the rank and file NATIVE EUROPEAN supports Trump and wishes that their politicians had been like him, instead of sending europe over a cliff by surrendering to the muzzie hordes.
We both know that “pundits” are as worthless as used toilet paper. LOL
Immigration like other policies should be based on national interest. So the question that should be asked is “Why is it in our national interest to import any Muslim?” Is there a compelling reason that we cannot do without any?
In some cases there might be a compelling reason, and then each case should be thoroughly vetted. And this policy should apply to all immigrants. We want to know who’s coming in and whether it benefits us.
A question for those who advocate Britain remaining in the EU ... How bad off, after all, are the lonely Swiss?
The Aussies use a point system. You need to be an asset to their country. We do the opposite. We invite criminals to bleed us dry economically and murder us.
“That doesn’t mean that we should welcome millions of them as immigrants into the US or Western Europe. “
We certainly shouldn’t! I agree with Trump’s position.
