These are numbers of votes the eventual GOP nominee received during the primaries.

GWB has the highest number, at 12million, but Trump still has several states remaining and is on track to pass GWB’s high-water mark.

Trump: 10,717,357 (to date, there are still more primaries)

Romney: 10,031, 336 (2012 after ALL primaries)

McCain: 9,902,797 (2008)

GW Bush: 7,853,863 (2004)
GW Bush: 12,034,676 (2000)

Dole: 9,024,742 (1996)

GHW Bush: 9,199,463 (1992)
GHW Bush: 8,253,512 (1988)

Reagan: 6,484,987 (1984)
Reagan: 7,709,793 (1980)
