We saw this commonly at restaurants in Kiev. There’s one door to an open area with sinks that can by anyone and separate doors there for individual toilets. Often there’s bathrooms with a toilet / sink and no gender indicated.

Let stores, restaurants, and businesses put up whatever signs they want. Let's see who gets the most business and let the marketplace decide. In the real world, a "real" transgender who passes for whatever won't get harassed for using the restroom that matches the pretend sex of the mentally ill person. In the real world,, this only affects the ones who are clearly male and want to follow little girls into the Target restroom and the ones that are clearly female and want to confront men in the men's room. In short, it's nonsense.

Put up XX, and XY signs, announce that you are not denying the "gender" of those who are confused or mentally ill, just separating the facilities by sex rather than by gender. Even a genetics sign isn't quite right. Restrooms are about pluming and "use the facilities with plumbing that matches your plumbing" is the best practical answer, at least until common sense is restored. However we have more important fights right now that dealing with the morons on which bathroom to use.
