In opposing the clear choice of the Republican primary electorate, the Never Trump crowd is simply displaying their contempt for the most politically active Republican voters.
This contempt was dramatically displayed during a CNN segment with Trumps spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson, and Bill Kristol, the self-appointed guru of a Third Party movement whose only result can be to split the Republican ticket and provide Hillary with her best shot at the presidency.
Pierson urged Kristol to help unify the Party behind its presumptive nominee. Kristol grinned and answered her: You want leaders to become followers. Could there be a more arrogant response?
By what authority does Bill Kristol regard himself as a leader? Trump has the confidence of millions of highly committed and generally conservative Republican voters. That makes him a leader. Who does Bill Kristol lead except a coterie of inside-the-Beltway foreign policy interventionists, who supported the fiasco in Libya that opened the door to al-Qaeda and ISIS?
But what can it possibly mean? During the first Republican debate, in front of a television audience of 17 million people, Jeb Bush took a pledge saying he would support whoever eventually won the Republican primaries. But as soon as the winner was declared, Bush reneged on his promise. Is telling the truth a presidential value? Or do the anti-Trumpers make allowances for politicians they support, cutting them slack that permits them to lie or change their minds when it is convenient to do so?
The anti-Trump crowd seems most concerned about the personal insults that Trump used successfully to defeat his formidable and more experienced rivals. Perhaps they are forgetting the hundred million dollars worth of personal insults and attacks that were directed at Marco Rubio and Trump by Bushs PAC, which the candidate himself never repudiated.

Bill Kristol, Democrat.
He wants to hand the Supreme Court to his fellow Democrats.
To temper your misgivings somewhat, I’m certain he will put together the greatest cabinet in American history.
Trump is like Reagan: Assemble the best people and let them do their jobs.
So many people think he’d be an Obama-style dictator.
That’s not the way people like Donald Trump roll. They delegate authority to their lieutenants and make sure things get done.
He said he'd vote for Trump.
I have the cudgels out for the #CleverNevers, but try a little honey for the Galvanized Trumpkins. :)
They are hypocrites, fine Trump is not a Conservative, and neither was Mitt Romney, Romney was a Conservative on Monday, a moderate on Tuesday, back to a Conservative on Wednesday, etc etc..yet these same people who post on twitter how they are Never Trump are petitioning to have Mitt Romney be the 3rd Party Candidate..so Trump not a Conservative but Mitt Romney, who CREATED Romneycare, who is pro abortion, who is pro amnesty, is their pick
Maybe tomorrow, or in three weeks, or three months....we’ll see. ;^)
The sign of a good leader is the ability to recognize someone else is a better leader.
There are many outstanding individuals who have been ineffective as leaders for whatever reason. Yet we're inviting them to join us to work together to correct the course of America. You see, Bill, we have 15 million voters and counting on the Trump Train and there's just no space available for lookie-loos or negative nancies. It's simple, really: get on board, or get off the tracks.
Brings to mind the words of one of our Founders: ...our lives our fortunes, our sacred honor.
A person sacrificing a fortune and putting himself at bodily risk is not someone to denigrate. Was Washington a messiah? No. But he was an amazing man who refused total power when it was open handedly offered.
Trump HAS power, and he has handled it wisely as he has matured in life.
Messiah? No.
Someone who really CAN “make America great again?” Very possibly.
He works for Mark Levin.
No, some just don’t like him for the same reason they don’t like Hillary- he is a habitual and unrepentant liar.
Yep, we are racist because we want borders and Syrian ISIS refugees out of America..check out some of their tweets, and then compare it to a known liberals tweet, they look IDENTICAL
>>>Spare us the Trump Messiah nonsense<<<
I read the Post you are referring to and I must have missed the word “Messiah”.
Trump does not have legitimate conservative credentials. But as a lifelong conservative, this year strict ideology doesn’t matter. Saving the country comes first, then we will do what we can to push him to the right.
I'm not surprised it was written by David Horowitz.
They said what they were going to do, Now they are doing it. There should be no surprise.
Without Midge and Irving, Bill Kristol doesn’t exist.
Nothing can be done to prepare for such an event.
If Shrillary thinks it will help her win, she will have him offed.
Nothing can be done to stop it.
