In opposing the clear choice of the Republican primary electorate, the Never Trump crowd is simply displaying their contempt for the most politically active Republican voters.
This contempt was dramatically displayed during a CNN segment with Trumps spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson, and Bill Kristol, the self-appointed guru of a Third Party movement whose only result can be to split the Republican ticket and provide Hillary with her best shot at the presidency.
Pierson urged Kristol to help unify the Party behind its presumptive nominee. Kristol grinned and answered her: You want leaders to become followers. Could there be a more arrogant response?
By what authority does Bill Kristol regard himself as a leader? Trump has the confidence of millions of highly committed and generally conservative Republican voters. That makes him a leader. Who does Bill Kristol lead except a coterie of inside-the-Beltway foreign policy interventionists, who supported the fiasco in Libya that opened the door to al-Qaeda and ISIS?
But what can it possibly mean? During the first Republican debate, in front of a television audience of 17 million people, Jeb Bush took a pledge saying he would support whoever eventually won the Republican primaries. But as soon as the winner was declared, Bush reneged on his promise. Is telling the truth a presidential value? Or do the anti-Trumpers make allowances for politicians they support, cutting them slack that permits them to lie or change their minds when it is convenient to do so?
The anti-Trump crowd seems most concerned about the personal insults that Trump used successfully to defeat his formidable and more experienced rivals. Perhaps they are forgetting the hundred million dollars worth of personal insults and attacks that were directed at Marco Rubio and Trump by Bushs PAC, which the candidate himself never repudiated.

Wasn’t David a never Trumper???
Bill Kristol grossly overemphasizes his own importance. GOPe tail wagging lackey.
I’ve started calling them Hillery supporters. That really pisses them off.
The few that retort Hillery is better than Trump, I follow by: Trump is worse than a woman who left 4 people to die in Benghazi? They don’t reply after that one.
It’s a really childish movement.
“The few that retort Hillery is better than Trump,”
I reply with Trump supports national concealed carry reciprocity. Hillary wants you to surrender your weapons
“........, and Bill Kristol, the self-appointed guru of a Third Party movement whose only result can be to split the Republican ticket and provide Hillary with her best shot at the presidency.”
This sentence reminds me of a thought that crossed my mind the other day. I was reading an article about WJC with a current photograph of him looking quite ill, quite emaciated. It occurred to me this guy looked like death warmed over, and if he dies between now, and November a whole bunch of idiots will give Hillary their sympathy vote.
Curious if anybody else has thought about this, and wondering what can be done to prepare for such an event.
All those opposed to Trump are opposed to stopping the illegal alien inundation.
That’s the bottom line.
Yep. He's #NEVERTRUMP
I am a little bit afraid of Trump but the country has sunk so low that we must take chances.
The same old, same old has gotten us in the spot we are in.
Our country needs to wake up.
Do you think Donald Trump wants to give up his successful businesses just to run for president.
Answer is NOhe sees what is happening to our country, the country he loves too, he thinks he can bring us back to the great country we have loved for so long.
Think what a sacrifice he is making.
He has to be losing millions of dollars.
While he is working for our country the establishment in Washington (the ones that helped to bring us down) are doing everything they can tom stop him
The establishment (Ryan is one of them) don’t think about our country except for what they can take from us to build them into big fat politicians.
WAKE UP AMERICA

It’s an evil movement.
What do you mean you’re afraid. None of the other 17 Republicans who ran could have gotten the crowds and votes that Trump got.
I follow some of the Never Trump people on twitter, they all say “Im With Her” so I asked one of them yesterday “Hillary Clinton wants to take away YOUR gun are you OK with that” no response..these people know that Hillary Clinton wants a full gun ban, if they are OK with that fine, let Clinton go to their house first to confiscate their weapons
I am afraid he will turn on us like the Bushes did but frankly it is worth taking the chance.
I support Trump despite my misgivings. No, I will make it stronger than that. We must support Trump if for no other reason than to stop Hillary.
I’ve never sat out an election since I started voting in 1972. I won’t sit out this one either. Not my first or even my second choice but Trump has my vote.
They want to be taken seriously, don’t give that too them. They honestly sound the like GOP version of the Bernie kids. All crybabies.
Like a told a friend of mine who was also afraid of Trump, a month before the Texas primary, “the Republican pols have lied to me over and over again. I’ll take my chance with Trump, or we don’t have a country left.”
