On Mother's Day, President Obama wants to talk to you about the "diaper gap."
In a post on Medium for the holiday, Mr. Obama explained that many low-income families struggle to afford diapers for their young children, a trend that can lead to health and well-being issues for not only the children but for the mothers.
"I can't imagine what it would have been like to be a parent that has to choose between diapers and other basic expenses," he wrote. "Access to clean diapers isn't just important for a child's health and safety. Research has shown that mothers who are unable to afford diapers for their babies are more likely to suffer from maternal depression and mental health issues."

If the parent and/or parents are to slovenly to care for the child, CPS should take that child away and said parent(s) should then be neutered to avoid a repeat of the situation.

The endless circular reference - we want to help little ones with crappy dolts for parents. By doing so we breed more crappy dolts. Take the kids away if they can’t find the gumption to get diapers. It’s a minimalist standard, akin to fogging a mirror.

Don’t we pay welfare money (TANF) to poor single mothers to cover expenses, like buying diapers?
Why is it that disposal diapers are now a “right”? When I had kids, they were a luxury and lots of people used cloth, soaked them, washed them, and dried them. Why is formula a “right”? People used to breastfeed to avoid the cost of formula. Is it a matter of getting back to work or getting back to partying?
WW2 My Mom had a baby and five diapers. She washed them by hand.
I can’t tell you how I appreciate getting a shopping cart with a used disposable diaper in it.

There was a Daiper pail for dirty diapers and you would wash & hamg them on the laundry line evey 5 days, GEEZE, WHAT A CRT BABY!
Uh, CLOTH friggin’ diapers, AMMONIA filled diaper pails, RINSING in the toilet.................... And after that, you got lots of nice cleaning rags. Just sayin’.
