His stance is a slap in the face of everyone who voted in the primary. Ryan should accept their decision. But he is making it clear that their opinion is irrelevant.

For years, they played “go along to get along”, and it earned them ZILCH in either influence or respect. Even those who termed themselves to be “conservative” wilted and caved almost as soon as they got to Washington.
I don’t know what “conservative” even means any more. I used to think it included a more or less realistic view of the world, but “real” has come to have a rather amorphous meaning.
The old order changes, and only chaos fulls the voids now.
