Holding on to the ideas and concepts of things I knew as a younger man .. even as a child .. when life was simpler and less complicated

I don't want to lose them, or 'use them up' ... I want to "conserve" them.

For me, a lot of politics and social structure is embodied in the works of Norman Rockwell.

I’m sure those who define conservatism with some kind of check-list would scoff at your statement, but I think you hit on the heart of Trump’s appeal.

I miss the America I grew up in - before it was taken over by insane leftists looking for things to be offended at. I miss the America where people were civil to each other, and we didn’t have stupid leftists holding up “anti-hate” signs while threatening to beat up Trump supporters. I miss the America that built things and invented things and sent men to the moon. I miss the America where my Dad could work an everyday job and still be able to afford to buy a house and support a family and have vacations and a life.

I think Trump misses all those things too, and wants to try and put some of the pieces back together. And maybe we need a little bluster and bull-headedness in the office because what’s been done to our country is just evil and unforgivable.
