replaced by “person who committed a crime” or “individual who was incarcerated.”

Seriously?

Must be another one of those Lib ideas that looked good on paper.

Look for future complaints about "crime" and "incarcerated".

WAYYYYY too stigamizing. I like "persons who went slightly outside societal norms due to lingering racism and classism."

If the government has people pushing this its ulterior motive is to blur the line on a defined “prohibited person” from owning a firearm, I.e. They want to have some means of still restricting an individuals rights while they still apparently “look normal” for functioning in society.

Personally I believe anyone not worthy or having their right to vote and own a firearm restored shouldn’t be out of jail, if you’re rehabbed you should get everything back. If you’ve paid the price it should be paid in full, that alone would reduce recidivism.
