I like your insight.
I would also strongly recommend Trump’s book “Surviving at the Top.” Wow. that book convinces me that he is not in this for the power. He already has power, and notoriety, and wealth. He has not self-destructed in the face of possessing those things. He writes about how one can nurture self-humanity in the face of these truly great challenges if you want to achieve a pinnacle.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely” is a very well known statement and is a common route people who obtain power take, whether it is a politician or a Big Frog at the state drivers license place or in your office. So many people cannot handle power. But there ARE those rare exceptions where we see people who demonstrate mastery over the levels of power they have. While I’m not necessarily placing Donald Trump in this category - yet - one exception to the rule of letting power corrupt is our beloved George Washington. He turned down the full power of a King.
I hope and pray that this is the kind of champion we have selected in Donald Trump. I think we have, but we have to hide and watch and pray as it all unfolds.
Thank you. I haven’t read that one and I will put it at the top of my reading list.
We do indeed have a lot of watching and praying to do. This one is for all the marbles. :-)
