For the second time in his career, Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore faces charges before the Alabama Court of the Judiciary and potential removal from office.
Until that court hears and rules on those charges, Moore will be suspended with pay from his position atop the state's highest court.
On Friday, the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission forwarded charges to the commission, accusing the chief justice of violating judicial ethics in his opposition to same-sex marriage.

If you are curious about topics and go looking for information about topics, it will probably turn up, even though that narsty Google.
If you want to be spoonfed (and that even applies here) then you get the luck of the draw, or of the personal agenda.
You mean godly not weak assed...
Conservatives are too “nice.” We didn’t used to be.
The rulings of other courts, however superior, were faulty to the point of madness, and SHOULD be ignored. If a superior court said that murder should be legalized across the board, what sane inferior court should allow it?
Roy Moore has only one allegiance: fidelity to the Constitution and the truth.
Throw it off a very tall building.
“With all due respect, Mark Levin doesnt sit on the JIC that reviews whether or not those instructions were ethical.
The JIC may agree with Mark Levin. Who knows? But the review itself is not improper and is a natural consequence of instructing probate judges to ignore a federal court order.”
So sure, the justice and legal system are all good and dandy...creating law and perversion where they will is a great idea right? Everything is improper in the legal system now...it needs to be replaced with an American system of justice.
The queers, the coprophiles, and same-sex boy rapists are all after a good man’s life. Moore is one of the few honest judges out there, and so he must be brought to task, exterminated, or removed.
This is one group, the whole lot of these freaks, should be turned over to the Muslims.
Ah, the US elected a Muslim faggot president.
There is nothing ungodly about fighting evil. The Judeo-Christian ethos has long supported the violation of civil law that conflicts with God’s laws. Fighting evil sometimes means making people uncomfortable—actually most of the time. Comfort does not seem to be high on the list of Biblical goals.
“Same standards of law”. You kiddin, the blackrobe tyrants sit to judge mostly using their personal agendas to empower their own and feather the nest of cronies. Most are as corrupt as those they judge. I see you joined a week ago. You are no freeper. You are clearly a homophile or worse.
In time, they will be.
There are ungodly ways to purportedly fight evil.
What’s more, where do you stop and why? The bible called for stoning sabbath breakers. Why are we so easy there?
Shallow theology calls for trying to expunge wickedness with more wickedness.
The left is now moving to literally prosecute those who "deny" so-called "climate change."
Merely speaking an opinion counter to the LGBT agenda is next.
Allowing the argument to be framed by the left is a losing proposition. The entire issue is nothing more than provocation by an ungodly government. What is the moral response? How do you propose to fight it?
The church of Laodecia has many adherents, but she is evil. She has traded her inheritance for a mess of pottage, and her people expect salvation based on their good intentions. Shallow theology yawns in the face of evil.
You look for the specific things that Christ has asked for, if you are acting as a Christian. That’s what you do.
I notice that the anger of man has too often masqueraded as the righteousness of God, and that only results in further disintegration. The moralists crow about how great they are, the sinners who are their target (no pun intended) are driven even further from the fold, and God becomes more and more displeased.
Are you Jewish? I think most of us freepers are Christian.
I am Christian with a deep awareness of its Jewish roots.
There is a lot of theological sloppiness in Christendom today. People prescribe Mosaic Law approaches to some things but not others, with no rhyme or reason except what their own custom is, assuming their own custom is the defining thing rather than a meticulous reading of theology.
Spot on.
I noticed today that The Birmingham News led with an article lumping Judge Moore in with accused felon (and speaker of the house) Mike Hubbard and sex tape/mistress scandal-laden Gov. Bentley.
