While Scott Brown definitely disappointed us on other issues, his record on Obamacare is pretty solid. He voted for repeal every time it came up.
Yes, you are correct ~ thank you!
That’s kind of how I feel these days, FSE...
That’s hilarious. I love these names for this fraud!
Scott Brown got elected to stop Obamacare. He opposed it vehemently.
Chicago.
I guess the liberal electorate is really THAT stupid.
That's why they call them "useful idiots".
HEY!
It's not like she's from Downeast Maine.
“Re 5.56, why not just Bite the bullet and just go to the 6.5 Grendel or the 6.8 SPC?”
Too expensive! The 5.56 is just fine. Inexpensive, accurate, etc. The kinks have long since been worked out.
That said the .25 x 45mm by Sharps looks interesting. I may get an extra barrel/Upper and load some up. I wouldn’t hold my breath though.
“Another was a round where the extractor tore the rim and bottom off the case.”
Granted, that’s why they gave the management of Lake City Ammo plant to Federal Cartridge Co. Been smooth sailing since.
I didn’t move around much. As a Radio Relay Repair guy I got to sit atop hills with my parabolic antennas showing the way to my whereabouts. A good defensive posture was a necessity. I never lost any friends. Tiger Mountain ‘68.
re: 5.56
Tay Ninh province 1970. Sapper coming through the wire. Young soldier puts a 5.56 through and through into his side.
Sapper keeps coming.
Young soldier puts M-16 on Rock and Roll and most of rest of mag through same side.
Sapper keeps coming.
Sapper is about 20 meters away.
First Sergeant hits him center sternum with 40mm round. Round hasn’t traveled far enough to arm. No problem. Sapper didn’t even twitch much. DRT
My personal experience; the 5.56 round has little knock down or shock trauma value.
BTW, the 6.5 Grendel is so good that at 400 meters, it has more energy left than a 7.62 x 51 NATO round!
And that is from a weapon that fits the M-16 lowers, template and magazines.
Take a look at a 6.5 Grendel upper from Alexander Arms.
One more thing. The reason the 6.5mm round works so well is it’s “ballistic co-efficient.”
Bill Alexander at Alexander Arms can explain. He is a genius.
I understand your enthusiasm for the 6.5/6.8 but can’t justify the cost of ammo. There are rounds using the 5.56 x 45 case that give better knock down power and can be reloaded from spent 5.56 shells. I think a better option if you want an upgrade. Shot placement is everything even on drugged up sappers. (One tossed a satchel but forgot to pull the cord...lololol scares the cr-p out ya anyway.)
I use Spikes Tactical. Most upper/lower receivers are machined by someone else. Spikes uses LAR in Utah. My lowers are all serialized as SCR-xxxxxxxx. (meaning LAR (CCR) for Spikes (S))
The quality of fit sold me on using Spikes, tho I realize there are other equally precision machined offerings from others. Barrels and bolts are the key to accuracy. Buy the highest quality you can! Right now Spikes uppers are hard to get and holding up a current build. I’ll wait (I like the spider engraved on the top rear of the upper. I infill all my spiders yellow!

A local seller gives great discounts on Spikes (first quality, not 2nds or blems). I’m a happy camper. The whole AR market is full of great parts. CNC machining is the reason. Most use the exact same CNC program that they purchase from? Colt???. There are only a handful of foundries that make the forgings. Chuck it in the machine, run the program, and waaalah.....a high quality base for a new build.....Finishes and markings are a secondary considerations providing merchandizing differentials.
I’ve gone to a LEGAL Class III Krinkov (sic) for my close in work. 7.62 x 39 just always seemed to me to be one of those rounds “that worked.” It’s a POS after 150 meters, but where I am now, a 40 meter shot would be very long. Set it up with NVG and an IR laser.
It’s a great toy.
My next step is to try to get the local Sheriff to swear me in as some sort of limited duty reserve deputy, so I can avail myself of the rights/privileges under LEOSA. Under such, could carry concealed in any state, even NY, NJ, CA, etc. Not on a/c, but that’s ok.
Be well.

LOL! Good point!! Sometimes people do really bear the appropriate name!
Didn’t mean to alarm you. Haha!
That would be the definition of a nightmare.
I see what you did there. ;)
