Usually, the admission of another rich child of privilege to the selective liberal finishing school known as Harvard is a non-story. But in the case of Malia Obama, it provides yet another example of the cynical elitism of modern liberals.
FULL STOP: This is where liberal liars will try to distract you from the glaring hypocrisy of the elite by accusing me of attacking the innocent child of Barack Obama. It’s unclear whether this reflexive misdirection is the result of them being too stupid to understand an argument or whether they are simply falling back on their default move, dishonesty, or whether it is some combination of both. I’m better on the latter. Now, Malia may well be fully qualified for Harvard in the way some other young person would need to be – through grades, activities and talents. We don’t know, any more than we know her father’s grades at any of the revered institutions of higher indoctrination he allegedly attended. But what is interesting was the immediate assumption on social media that her admittance was something to congratulate her on, as if there was any doubt that the daughter of a rich, liberal president was going to get into whatever elite college she chose. She’s not a student; she’s a status symbol. Take that, Yale!

I think when all the dirt comes out after Obama leaves office, the children will want to run and hide, just like little Amy Carter did.
Amy didn't run and hide. She was hanging out with has been Abbie Hoffman was arrested at least three times protesting apartheid. She later got married and is still somewhat active in the Carter center.
Malia should take a semester at community college. Or why not Howard University in DC?

Funny how the kids of these pResidents especially the libs (on the other hand, not many R Presidents are ‘young enough’ to worry about HS or college for their kids. I think W kids were in college when he got elected) are ‘selected’ for these Major ‘institutes of higher learning’ though I guess it doesn’t hurt to have an ex high Govt officials seed on the rolls..
I am definitely a firm believer kids or family should be ‘off limits’ UNTIL they start making speeches, get dragged out for photo ops or stand on the podium with the person running.

It may not be nonsense, depending upon how you spend it. In Malia's case the verdict is out. Look, for those of us that may have kids in this age group and those that are in admissions in college it is not an unfamiliar topic. Your 17 to 18 yr old is at the younger end of their age for their graduating class? Take a year to mature. Instances I have heard of? A liberal going to Israel for a year and now question the dominant media because what they saw does reflect what the papers say. Quite an awaking before heading off to college. Going on a mission sponsored by your Church for a year. Ice Skaters taking a year to do one of the touring ice shows before heading to the 4 year university. BTW do your research on it, it is a tough slog, those shows.
Again the point is, some kids aren't mature enough, this gives them a chance to sort it out. Wish I would have known about the concept back in the day...
Note colleges do not look unfavorably on it as well, as long as you are not slumming for year, do something that helps you figure it out.....
