I didn't always share political views with him but I thought he was a gentleman.

When they brag about ‘rock star’ Bill Clinton winning two terms it should be pointed out that he won a squeaker in ‘92 involving a third party spoiler and in ‘96 defeated ‘his turn’ Bob Dole who should never have been the nominee.
This was Ford’s running mate for crissakes.
