Hmmm. Maybe a little DDT wouldn’t have been a bad idea after all. Thanks billy rucklehaus or however you spell his name. Oh and let’s not forget rachel carson. More settled science I’m guessin’. Hell we used to ride our bikes behind the spray trucks in the 50’s. Maybe THAT would explain a few things. LOL!

We still spray for mosquitoes in Florida at least. My county has a web site that gives a schedule of spraying areas. They use mosquito traps placed all over the county to determine when and where they need to spray. They drive down the street with a very loud machine in the back of a truck that disperses a fine spray of permethrin, or they use airplanes spraying naled and anvil. To kill larva, they use methoprene and spinosad.

Read the article … all cases are in people that have traveled. It’s not in the mosquitos in Florida … yet (as far as we can tell).
