A video posted to YouTube appears to show a woman confronting a man at Walmart for paying for his groceries with food stamps.
The video, which has quickly gone viral, shows the woman standing behind the man, who was at the checkout counter with a child.
The two had apparently already exchanged words, in front of children, as the video started.
"I put in 50 to 60-hour weeks," the man said. "Im trying to provide for my family."
He told her to, "Deal with it, b****," and asked her to mind her own business.
"I dont have to. Its a free country, remember?" the woman countered. "If Im gonna pay for all your s***, the least I can do is talk."

I dont know what led to the dispute but the woman should mind her own business especially in front of children. I don't either and you're absolutely right.

One Walmart manager I know says it varies from around 6% which he says is nearly universal now, up from 2% ten years, ago to almost 20% in some areas so your overall estimate of 15% is probably in the ballpark.

His idea of working 50-60 hours a day is playing his guitar that he probably bought with his Earned Income Tax Credit refund check. Thinking he may get a paying gig some day. sorry but this kid doesn’t look like he has worked a day in his life. Go ahead call me jaded.

This woman is way out of line. I dont know what this mans story is, and neither does she. She should mind her own business.I totally agree. The man shouldn't have responded with profanity, particularly with the kids present but he was right to tell her to mind her own business. Just because there is abuse in the food stamp system doesn't mean that there aren't legitimate users.

“It IS her business. She’s paying for his groceries. So are you and I.”
So that gives you a right to shame people who use them? You are unbelievable.
To: Drango
That may well be. There’s no doubt it’s funded by taxes.
Nonetheless, the police will tell you that you cannot purposely hassle someone in public. And I agree with them.
That being said, these days, it’s hard to even joke with a tiny percentage of people.

Yes he didn’t need to use profanity. I wonder what started this spat.

I agree with you. Yes, there are a tremendous amount of people who abuse American generosity but this country is economically in the toilette. Why are there so many Dollar Tree stores in even wealthy areas? In my day, they were consigned to poor neighborhoods. Something is very wrong here.

For some women, saying that is like ringing the bell at a boxing match.
Oh,and saying that to my wife if Im there would be very bad. If you ever want to go nuclear replace it with c--t, you may very well get your eyes gouged out, it's like dropping the "N" word on a member of the black panthers..

Things are worse in this country than a lot of people realize or want to admit and the scum abusing the system make it that much harder to fix the systems that help people because it's easy to dismiss people with no alternative as being just like the cheats and frauds who would be scamming the system even if the economy was booming.
Well said. I'm one of those who needed to hear it. I am still fuming from last month, when my checking account went from nice 'n' healthy to spare change after I paid my taxes. I get so mad that I have to struggle when frauds live the high life, but not all welfare recipients are frauds. I'm happy to help the legitimate, I just wish the frauds would get revealed and punished. Harshly. But I won't hold my breath on that ever happening.

i really, really liked Neil Boortz’s idea that food stamp customers needed to get to the back of the line if paying customers were present. They should shop off-hours. And, they should thank the cashier and any other paying customer.
It’s SUPPOSED to be embarrassing. Things started to go to hell when it made was less so by...liberals. Certainly, there are some people who had very bad luck but 95% of the food stamp customers wound up so by their own bad actions and decisions.
