I think there are too many carpetbaggers in Texas now. Pinging some friends on the scene for their thoughts.
The Texas conservative right elected Ted to the Senate. I think he’s lost far too many of them to ever be competitive here again.
Had he completed just one term in his current job, he might have built a wide enough base of support to mount a winning challenge for the presidency, but ambition got the best of him. It’ll never happen now.
