Donald Trump on Tuesday alleged that Ted Cruz’s father was with John F. Kennedy’s assassin shortly before he murdered the president, parroting a National Enquirer story claiming that Rafael Cruz was pictured with Lee Harvey Oswald handing out pro-Fidel Castro pamphlets in New Orleans in 1963.
A Cruz campaign spokesperson told the Miami Herald, which pointed out numerous flaws in the Enquirer story, that it was “another garbage story in a tabloid full of garbage.”
“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”
“I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting?” Trump continued. “It’s horrible.” Trump’s tangent followed his rebuke of Rafael Cruz using the pulpit to court evangelicals for his son. “I implore, I exhort every member of the body of Christ to vote according to the word of God and vote for the candidate that stands on the word of God and on the Constitution of the United States of America,” Rafael Cruz said in a video clip aired by Fox News. “And I am convinced that man is my son, Ted Cruz. The alternative could be the destruction of America.”

Trump has shown a tendency to act in a very juvenile manner throughout this entire campaign. Even talking about this stupid rumor shows a lack of judgment, especially from a guy who pretty much has this campaign sewed up. And his zombie followers shout that this is "Genius".
Sorry x, but if Trump is the best we can produce for president, then America is doomed.

Trump has run a low cost campaign, using free publicity to get exposure. I’ve noticed that the major media outlets seem to have collectively agreed not to cover Trump’s ‘outrageous’ side in recent weeks. So, Trump is just lobbing more and more outrageous stuff against the wall.
As a Trump supporter I have to say that this is asinine. He’s kicking ass in every election where people vote with his tried and true message and there’s no need to start reaching with conspiracy theories,ala Ted Cruz linking Trump to the mob. His ascension in every recent poll attests to the fact that he need not change anything so there’s no reason to kick things up a notch.
I’m quite confident that Trump can win the general election but there is still that worry that he’s going to say something off the cuff that will be indefensible.
He’ll steamroll Lying Ted and win the nomination on the first ballot but the general is still far away and he’s got to temper things a bit.
Yeah and how many pictures are there of Trump posing with the Clintons and other communists democraps to whom has given money?... How many parties does he attend and drink and joke with liberals?
Let’s just gloss over that... all in a days work for non-conservative.

The cruz response was that the dad just happened to be there and simply took a leaflet that Oswald was handing out.
It is very odd that a Castro supporter who was also imprisoned in Cuba at one point was allowed to travel to the US to live, and happened to be photographed with the man who assassinated JFK.
Cruz’s father is up to his eyeballs in this campaign but I wish Trump wouldn’t talk about tabloid stories...
I saw the pictures and it does look like Cruz’s dad...same hairline and ear shape that you can see anyway. The thing is even if it is Cruz’s dad with LHO that is a long way from proof of anything else.
