Gym owner and ex-Marine Anthony 'TJ' Antell Jr., 35, was gunned down at the Arlington, Texas, store on Monday when he confronted the suspect, 22-year-old Ricci Bradden.
Antell, who ran the CrossFit Abattoir gym, was with his wife Crytsal in the drugstore when the chaos unfolded.
Bradden walked into the the store and allegedly shot his wife, who is an employee, in the leg.
He then tried to flee the scene.
As Bradden tried to drive off, Antell when outside to the parking lot and picked up a gun from his car in a bid to stop him, the Dallas Morning News reported.
The suspect then turned around and shot Antell in the head, according to police.

Bradden has since turned himself in to the police. His wife has not been identified by police.
He told Fox 4: 'Very terrifying for people that had to watch and see, especially the Good Samaritan being shot and killed just trying to help out trying to keep the suspect from leaving.'

In Texas, if they have a "30.06" sign posted, you are most definitely breaking the law.
Having said that, 30.06 signs in Texas are as rare as honest democrats...

But, as I also said, they're rare. Except for the statutory sign forbidding carrying in businesses that make 51% of their revenue from alcohol -- I, like you, disregard all other "no guns" signs...
In reality, I don’t think it is easy for a moral person to look into a mans eyes and take his life. For a criminal, yes, but the killer only wounded the employee... His wife. I agree, keep it out of site until on target. Criminals don’t have the same hesitancy. A good reminder to never get physically close.
Public stocks, public lashings, hard time, public hangings.
