Mayor Marty Walsh says a transgender pride flag raised Monday over Boston City Hall plaza will continue to fly until everyone is equal under the law in Massachusetts.
The Democratic mayor and other elected officials joined activists in raising the flag of blue, pink, and white horizontal stripes as state lawmakers continue to weigh a bill that would extend protections to transgender individuals in public places.
Republican Gov. Charlie Baker hasn’t said whether he would sign the measure, which would expand a 2011 state law banning discrimination against transgender people in the workplace and housing by also prohibiting discrimination in restaurants, malls and other public accommodations, including restrooms or locker rooms. …

Of course for years the people of MA have marched to a different drummer, I learned this first hand from my Grandmother, Mother and ex wife and her family.
I don’t know if it is/was the water, but to hear them talk, one would think they came from the heart of Mississippi - and that isn’t just limited to those 3, I found that to be quite predominant — I am sure not all are that way but enough of whom I have been in contact with, act that way.,
I was criticized once,by a hardcore lib,for criticisng Menino’s speech because he was raised as a “working class Bostonian”
I told her I was raised as a working class Bostonian and berated her for implying that working class folks did not have a good command of the English language.

Why in the world has one tiny smidgen of one point something percent (that’s the estimated gay population) of the national population taken over our national discourse?
Because fallen man foolishly believe that anything can be had without consequence, including sexual pleasure. Alongside abortion, homosexuality is the acme of this madness. Never mind that homosexual men live 20 years less on average than heterosexual men.
In the grander scheme of things this is less about "LGBT rights" than it is about defying God and trying to wrest from Him that which is not meant for us: existence of carnal pleasure without regard for eternal ramification.
