depends if you view God as social justice warrior/enabler.
or
see God as Best Father ever who encourages, leads us out of old bad ways and at times uses discipline and all forms of love and nutting, not just the comfortable stuff.
Many wonderful preachers and pastors of today waffle in areas, as do many in the Body.
I also was stunned by the amount of churches my area that give out food boxes and so proud about the number of boxes they give out but have NO NO NO system in place to connect with those people outside of twice monthly food box, to actually get to know the needs, help them in ways out of enabled life. Those churches are enabling and just pridefully tallying numbers so they can feel better about themselves and that they “helped”.
likely illegals, most don’t speak english is what I was told when I once offered to help distribute boxes. Once I realized the food was govt subsidized and they had no system for actually connecting with the people to invite to church or truly help the people, I told them it was against God in my eyes to not have a cut off period of how long people could stay on the list for food without any sort of way to support them to get off the list.
I like Franklin Graham and much of what he says, but don’t forget he too is human.
should say love and nurturing ( not nutting)
I understand, but does that mean he doesn't know the Bible?
That was the point I was making. This narrative that one must not be a good Christian or know the Bible very well if they support Donald Trump instead of Ted Cruz, is disingenuous, to put it politely.
