I don’t blame him. The 2020 race for West Miami dog catcher promises to be a rough one.

If this is where Rubio is now, then like Ted he’s going to be cast into the backwaters somewhere for the rest of his career. I’ve heard he’s thinking about a career change...good idea, except I don’t think real work will set well with him.

Hey Marco! Aren’t there some pools that need cleaning?

He will work to get Hillary elected. Then try to swoop in 2020, saying let the grownups try

It's interesting to hear everyone throwing around the word,"conservative" and labeling different people as conservative or no conservative, but no one bothers to include the positions that justify the label.

For instance, what are Cruz' positions that make him a conservative and Trump not a conservative? It's interesting that Cruz has been parroting most of Trump's positions.

I guess I am supposed to conclude that lawyers and politicians are more conservative than businessmen.

At least he is smarter than Cruz in that regard. A man has to know his limitations.

There wont be a 2020 if republicans dont win in 2016 and Romney has done his best to give the democrats a win.

tThere won’t be a 2020, but at least they are honest about Cruz being slaughtered if he is the nominee against Hillary.

Really the source is saying Rubio wants the GOP to lose the White House in 2016 so he can have a clear shot at it in 2020.

Great guy.

Nonsense. Rubio is just waiting until releasing his delegates will put Trump over the 1237. He can encourage his delegates to declare for Trump and be the “unity hero”.

That will be next Wednesday.

If he doesn’t take that opportunity, he will be irrelevant. Come June 7th, Trump will be well past 1237 and what Rubio does won’t matter.

“Trust me, for us, the best scenario for our country is for you two sh*theads to get lost and stay lost. Ted Cruz to be the nominee this year,” another top supporter said. “It would knock Trump out. Then Cruz would run against Hillary and get slaughtered and he won’t be our problem in four years if Marco runs again. And I think he’ll run again.”

Fixed it.

If Rubio does not fully back Trump fairly soon it will be held against him as far as his political future. He would be foolish to make deals, even informal ones, of any sort with the presumptive loser.

If Rubio possessed talented political foresight and acumen, he would have seen that Trump is going all the way right after the Acela sweep. He should have acted then to back Trump for full leverage for the future.

It is not completely too late for this, but Rubio would have been in a stronger position if he had been brave enough to pivot to Trump at that time.

Further, Rubio only has a relatively short window with any real leverage to speak of (vis a vis his delegates). This is because once Trump gets enough of his own delegates which he will soon, Rubio’s bargaining position for a place in Trump’s campaign is over, if he ever had one.

Rubio is smart not to endorse Cruz; however he ought to have taken it further and given no appearance of any support to him whatsoever for the sake of his own political future and aspirations.

If he thought his endorsement would help in California or in Indiana, which it won’t

It wouldn't even help in Florida, so why would it help in any other state? Rubio is despised in his own home state, yet he really believes that his endorsement counts for something and that he's Presidential material for 2020. It must be nice to live in a world of make-believe full time.

Marco's fifteen minutes of fame as the Golden Boy of the Republican Party have obviously gotten to his head and then some.
