I don't think he will - but it depends more on the stomach of the GOP/RNC. Trump's delegates are just "on paper" until they are certified and cast ballots at the convention, and Cruz/GOP/RNC may want to play hardball right to the bitter end.

That jail comment reminds me of the thought I had to pass on to the Trump campaign, to weave the Monopoly Game’s Go to Jail card, into his campaign, to counteract HRC’s lame answer to Trump, calling her out for playing the woman’s card, wherein she then handed out pink “woman’s cards” at her next rally, following Trump’s comments.

That trick can be played whether Cruz is in or not. The reason the RNC would want to keep Cruz in, would be to "personalize" the contest, make Cruz the heavy so the RNC takes less of a hit due to kicking Trump to the curb.
