Cruz is unable to have a conversation, unable to be authentic. He is always in campaign mode which is why he appears to have delusions of grandeur.

Grandiose delusions (GD) or delusions of grandeur are a subtype of delusion that occur in patients suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses. GDs are characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, wealthy, or otherwise very powerful.

According to the DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria for delusional disorders, grandiose-type symptoms include grossly exaggerated beliefs of:

self-worth
power
knowledge
identity

It time for Cruz to have an intervention. He's gone off the deep end. He has to remember he is a sitting Senator representing people in Texas, has a full time job he is neglecting and has zero interest in and is embarrassing himself. He is becoming a joke because he won't suspend his campaign when it is obvious he has lost. Is Cruz being black mailed? Either he is truly psychotic or he is being blackmailed. No other primary candidate has gone off the deep end like Cruz is doing.

Perhaps he's not being blackmailed at all.  Perhaps his dream of world domination is coming to fruition.  And his will is to become the ultimate destroyer of our free republic. 

If he can't win, fine, he'll knock all the chess pieces off the board.  He lives to amass power and wreck everything in his path to conquest.

Golden Sacks promised to drop a beautiful sack of gold at his doorstep once the election is over.

But to get that sack of gold and any other earthly wish, Ted must continue to blast Trump till he's told to stop.

So he's more than a puppet.  He's an amoral humanoid robot, the Terminator -- a man with a heart of cold steel.  

He's the physical embodiment of those million of dollars in attack ads that his SuperPacs are spending in Indiana to accomplish one mission: tarnish Donald Trump's image so badly that Hillary wins in the general election.
