Summary
Targets bathroom policy is scaring away many customers.
Over 1 million people have signed a pledge not to shop at Target.
This is likely to have a negative impact on sales and the stock price.
I think Target's (NYSE:TGT) bathroom policy is a serious mistake from a business standpoint. The policy is scaring away customers, which is likely to lead to sales declines and a falling stock price. Target recently went public with its bathroom policy which states:

you’ve GOT to be kidding! (that CAN”T be a real ad photo, can it?!)
my Lord!
I’m so glad now that we cut up our Target credit card and have not gone back there
i mean, even if Target wanted to go after the homosexual market (do guys buy special vacuum cleaners if they’re homosexual? wouldn’t a regular vacuum ad work for them like it works for everyone else?)
even if Target thought it had something special to sell to the homosexuals (>?)... THAT ugly picture would probably repel most homosexuals.... while certainly nearly repelling everyone else
Target needs a new ad agency! (and a new management, of course)
Hopefully both corp.ses aren't long for this world...
i am no expert but i think those models in that picture would turn off most homosexuals too
well, we don’t shop there anymore
thanks
Be interesting to see how Target deals with the problem. Buckling before a conservative boycott isn’t going to play well in the Media or with probably 35% of their customers (the other side). The way I see it, they’re messed up either way.
Screw Target, Chipotle, or any other militant corp. promoting ant-American/anti-Family agendas!
P.S. Target is already closing "underperforming" stores, this misstep could be the last nail...
Need a little background on Target’s management? Well here it is..........
Target Corp. on Tuesday said Chief Executive Brian Cornells pay package amounted to $28.2 million last year, with a make-whole package he received as an incentive to leave his former post representing the bulk of his compensation.
On August 12, 2014, Cornell replaced Gregg Steinhafel as the Chairman and CEO of Target.[6] Cornells leadership style is at once data-driven and hands-on.[3] During his tenure, Cornell has shut down the loss-incurring Canadian presence known as Target Canada (formerly owned by Zellers).[3]
>>>Cornell has hired many outsiders to update the corporate culture.[3] Cornell occasionally visits Target stores and asks customers specific questions about their shopping experiences.[3]
Outsiders..... straight or FAGS? Go figure.
PROOF below...Target is green, Walmart in red
I gave up Starbucks when the CEO said he didn’t want my business. Fortunately, there are two locally owned coffee shops in the same block with better coffee and superior service. I now wonder why I ever went there.
Target downsizing to fit the political class in advance.
I have never seen the Girl Scouts at Target
WalMart lets everybody High Schools sports teams are there all the time

I would loooooooooooooove to see the Target stock sink.
Angie’s List too.
It’s encouraging, but I don’t understand why Trump said what he said about it. This stuff isn’t that hard, or at least I thought it wasn’t that hard. Why did he say Bruce Jenner could use any bathroom he wanted to in his buildings? He doesn’t know if his women customers care or not?
Freegards
We dropped Target nearly a year ago when they first announced their new policy of displaying kid’s toys in a gender-neutral way. Too weird for us. Doubt that Target misses us much; we only spent $300 - $500 / year there. But if a million families, each spending that amount, drop Target, I expect the boardroom will feel it. We can hope they will, anyway.
