There are probably people who were proactive enough to buy the parts for stills. They will be fine. The rest, not so much.

Except that there are shortages in all of the ingredients necessary to make beer (barley, hops, yeast and clean water), if you already acquired all of the components necessary to make a still. Plus the currency has no value with which to import anything from somewhere else.

Basically, Venezuela is quickly reaching the socialist ideal of equality for all. Equally miserable.

There is good news. No need for a still for beer. Yeast and some type of sugar (malted barley) is all it takes. Refrigeration is nice but optional. Hops and carbination are the cherry on top.
