Don’t get me wrong, I’d LOVE to see California in play, and obviously there are millions of them that love America. But it’s all a numbers game to win:
In Texas, overall, Hispanics vote 40% or higher for conservative Republicans, based on exit polls. I don’t know the number for California, but I’d suspect it’s closer to 25%, maybe lower. That’s where the problem is. Add to that the disproportionate number of white nut cases, gays, etc. and it’s simply very hard for any Republican to get traction there.
Texas elections would be much closer, if Hispanics here voted as they do in California...thankfully they don’t.
Anyway, if Trump can get California to at least somewhat to the right, it may wind up causing Hillary to spend a lot of effort just to be sure she wins it...that is certainly possible.
Most folks have this perception that California is 80% Leftist.
In truth we lose elections at the very worst at about 62.5% vs 37.5%.
Of course that sounds terrible, until you realize a 6.25% +1 vote swing wins it for you.
If you folks think Trump can’t swing the vote 6.25% +1 vote, you haven’t been paying attention.
Can I guarantee it? Of course not. Is it possible? Hell yes.
This is very doable folks.
