Divorced after 39 years and no kids — now that’s something. Can’t be easy living with someone who doesn’t give you any sugar.

Work With Me, Annie, a smash hit for the Royals in the spring of 1954 generated a whole slew of "answer" songs. A couple of them were about breaking up, or at least very strained relations.

Also interesting that Without You was actually written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger.Wow! I did not know that. Harry made it his own. I've never heard any other versions, have you?

Well good grief! They couldn't give you a simple aspirin for your headache? sheesh!
Things are ok here. Been nice this week, weather-wise, but allergies are cranked up big time. You had a taste of that when you were here several years ago so you know what I'm talkin' about. LOL
Been in and out all evening, checking on and loving on the newest addition to our "herd".
Just what we needed, huh? He showed up yesterday. Got him to the vet this afternoon to be checked out and he's a healthy feller. He'll be neutered soon and I kinda hate to do it. He'll lose those fabulous jowls! LOL! But it'll be done, just like with all the others who have shown up over the years.

Good Lord, people...
Well I’m sittin’ down in San Anton’
Waiting on an eight o’clock train
My woman left me here last night
Things ain’t been quite the same
I gotta get back to Dallas
And tie up a few loose ends
I’m gonna work a week make a hundred dollars
Aw and hit the road again
So I don’t want you to think
That you’re the first one
To leave me out here on my own
Cause this ain’t gonna be the first time
This ol’ cowboy spent the night alone
Now honey I’ve been a fool but a bigger fool
I can’t remember when I’ve been
Just to open up my heart
And let you walk right in
Now there’s one thing in this life
Ain’t hard for me to do
That’s as soon as I kiss the lips of another woman
I’m gonna forget all about you
So I don’t want you to think
That you’re the first one
To leave me out here on my own
No this ain’t gonna be the first time
This ol’ cowboy spent the night alone
If you wrote all the woman’s names down I know
And let me pick one out
I don’t think there’d be one in the whole bunch
Aw I’d give a hoot about
So I don’t want you to think
That you’re the first one
To leave this ol’ boy out here on his own
Cause this ain’t gonna be the first time
This ol’ cowboy spent the night alone
No this ain’t gonna be the first time
This ol’ cowboy spent the night alone
