Doctrinaire liberals and progressives everywhere are all aflutter that The Donald would dredge up a phrase upon which these same liberals and progressives spent so much time deriding and loathing back in the latter days of the New Deal/Depression, because of its apparent support for the Nazi takeover of Europe. Charles Lindbergh was a powerful voice for America to remain uninvolved in the war in Europe, and his platform was the America First agenda, primarily pacifism and isolation.
These were supposed to be Very Bad Things, especially after Hitler’s war machine attacked nice old Uncle Joe Stalin, and after they had a non-aggression pact. The progressives and liberals were HOWLING to get into the war, to come to the aid of good old Uncle Joe.
America First had a very bad name for years afterward.
The Donald dragging out this term is just another way he is sticking it in the ear of these old-line pro-communist liberals and progressives.
Lindbergh was not alone in his opinions - how interesting that Pearl Harbor got attacked with its pants totally down in such a timely manner, making it very ‘unpatriotic’ to be anti-war.
Now we have the thug Merkel, the commie from East Germany, and the gaggle of NWO Globalist hens/cuckolds calling the shots. These people are no friends of a sovereign free America.
There is not a single country in the “EU” worthy of the USA’s blood and treasure. Let them stew in their own petard - they obviously learned nothing during the past 60 years.
