Think of this: Harding sold off the government RRs (acquired during WW I), government shipyards, cut taxes on everyone by 3/4, sliced the debt by 33% in just five years.
If Coolidge, who took over for Harding, had been in office in 1929, I am certain the “Great Depression” never would have happened, or at least wouldn’t have become great.
