You aren’t and haven’t been paying attention for a long while.
You should have seen Trump as the best leader for the party since Ronald Reagan.
Maybe Rush is again having marital problems and is distracted. iirc, he had Elton John sing at his wedding, which I thought was odd.
At one point, early on, I think he tried to make that comparison. But, when Trump really got going and surged way ahead of everybody, he changed his tune. He hitched his wagon to Rubio and now Cruz. Must have gotten together with Levin and did a pact. ala Cruz/Kasich. Neither has worked out.
