Russia continued ramp up its dangerous cat-and-mouse game with the United States as one of its MiG-31 warplanes flew within 50 feet of an American surveillance jet in Northeast Asia, The Washington Free Beacon reports. The nerve-rattling incident occurred just one week after a Russian Su-27 flew within 50 feet of an RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft in an "unsafe and unprofessional manner," the Pentagon said.
Russias latest act of aggression occurred on April 21 as a U.S. Navy P-8 Maritime Patrol reconnaissance aircraft flew on a routine mission in international airspace.

“Northeast Asia”

They were filming the Russian version of “Top Gun”.
Putin is trying to provoke odumbo into doing something stupid and is humiliating him at every chance. He had better get it out of his system because I doubt Trump would let it pass so easily.
Russia and the US should be allied against this major threat. But of course they're not. Better to buzz each other, and call each other names.

Did they take a picture like Maverick did?
Obama won’t do anything...He might bow to Putin...That’s about it...
Obama leads from the rear......
Pilot had a “Make America Great Again” hat on.
Russia wants a world with Trump in it. Shove Obamas weakness in Americas face.
Go Trump!
Did Obama issue the order to Man the White Flags yet??

Nerve rattling? Let me go out on a limb here and assume that the surveillance plane had a clear radar picture of the Russki aircraft before it got anywhere close. If you didn't see it until it was there, no warning, that would be nerve rattling. More like pi$$ed off at the bad manners than rattled.
in an “unsafe and unprofessional manner,” the Pentagon said.

Colonel, USAFR (Ret)
Bet our crew loved it!!
Goose took the picture, Maverick rendered the passing honors.
Lots of sensitive sensors and hardware on an RC-135.
I wonder how hardened that stuff is against an up close and personal, bazillion-watt, sensor trashing blowtorch flying by.
I cant imagine how pist the soldiers must be. How demoralizing having a little pus.sy as CIC. They are working in a hostile work environment and should sue the Feds.
One good shot, let them have one good shot.
