People just get too emotionally invested in their candidates. I make my decisions based on detached analysis (was for Cruz at the beginning, but gradually moved to Trump). I guess some people can’t check their emotions at the door when it comes to choosing a candidate.

Exactly. That's another one of the Cruz supporters' insults: that somehow we're not thinking: we're only reacting emotionally.

Well, in reality we are both thinking and feeling. Choosing a Presidential candidate isn't just about checking off a bucket list of conservative positions.

It's about the person. Donald Trump is simply a much more suitable President; he's a natural leader; he's a credible, successful, experienced, shrewd, honest, passionate, intuitive, tenacious, patriotic, pragmatic American individual and businessman.

Cruz has been weighed in the balance and found wanting. He's not ready yet. Cruz has shown himself to be impatient, opportunistic, Machiavellian and unprincipled. I can rattle off a half dozen things Cruz has done which severely damaged my esteem for him.

On top of all that, and ironically, Ted Cruz's egotism and narcissism make Donald Trump's ostensible character flaws pale in comparison.

Ted Cruz is willing to sacrifice the unity of the party, even the country itself, on the altar of his own blind personal ambition. He does not deserve the GOP nomination for 2016, and will not receive it under any circumstances.

And you can take that to the bank...

Vote Trump

I started seeing the dark side of my Senator when he wanted to punish Egypt for over throwing its Muslim Brotherhood government. WTF I thought to myself, either Cruz is stupid or he willing play politics with peoples lives. I now see him as a complete fraud. He will face a primary opponent in 2018.
