Cruz announces Fiorina as choice for running mate

Ted Cruz, looking for a shake-up in the 2016 race as Donald Trump moves steadily closer to the Republican nomination, on Wednesday announced former GOP primary rival Carly Fiorina as his choice for running mate should he win the party nod.

I am reminded of Ryan jumping on the Romney bandwagon, only to see his House seat go into full jeopardy mode in the next election. Somehow, I do not think this decision bodes well for Fiorina's governmental aspirations. Ironically, this does nothing to bolster Cruz's sinking ship either. Cruz, listen, you could have won but you chose to follow the miserable advise of the Bush and Romney crowd. That was your mistake. Lick your wounds and save your pennies, because this race is over.

I used to be a HUGE Cruz fan before the primary race. This smacks of amateurish desperation. He is embarrassing himself and the conservative movement. He needs to drop out NOW before he completely destroys his political career.

Same here. When I switched to Trump, I thought Cruz would make a great VP or Supreme Court justice. Now I think of him as another sleazy politician.

OK here’s my conspiracy theory, ehehehe. Cruz wants to drop out but he doesn’t want to ‘quit the race appearance’. Therefore he picks Carly as VP ensuring that Trump will get way beyond the 1237 mark no doubt. Its his ‘public service’ to the nation without coming across as being a quitter.
Would I bet money on my theory? Not a chance...

I watched Fox News this PM to get the detailed results on yesterday's primaries, since Fox beat us over the head with every type of pre- primary talk, and possible primary scenarios.

Fox spent the time talking about TED CRUZ going to name Carly FIORONA as his running mate, and little or nothing on yesterday's primary results.

I found out elsewhere TRUMP had a great primary day and exceeded expectations which should have been the main news on Fox.

You would get the impression from FOX, Cruz had a great primary day yesterday and was making a move today to get the nomination, by naming FIORINA s his VP choice. -Tom
