In what many are calling The End for Ted Cruzs presidential bid, Donald Trump ran away with the North East, sweeping PA, CT, RI, MD, and DE in epic Trump-fashion.
It will become increasingly difficult for an already mathematically eliminated Ted Cruz to continue to justify staying in a race after this monumental shellacking.
Ted has defended his odd decision to stay in the race by claiming that Trump has no path to 1237. After tonights humiliating defeat will anyone seriously buy what Teds trying to sell?

I’m not laughing at anyone, I’m actually enjoying the less acrimonious discussion threads that are springing up. :) I learned something about Little Donald’s corporate tax plan, in any event, and -that- proposal is one I have no problems with whatsoever.
The ship’s big guns are about to point in Hillary’s direction.
Okay child, you have no idea just HOW funny that is!
I was going to call you a lonely attentionwhore, but didn't; however, that is precisely what you are.
I -don’t- have a candidate yet, and that’s the whole problem!
Cruz would have been my candidate, but I can’t see him winning the nomination under any but the most contentious of circumstances, so I don’t have someone I am yet comfortable voting for in the general.
What’s not to ‘buy’? ;)
Shhhh.... the rest of us have moved on. ;)
I learned long ago never to argue religion with anyone. You cant. Ted Cruz is a religion.
When the sexual immorality is exposed,
the religiously powerful are deposed.
Because those in power will never back down, ALL the truths will come out... and it will not be pretty.
Cruz’s banker buddies know they can create money out of nothing, so maybe Cruz thinks he can use a 3D printer to create delegates out of nothing.
No sale.
Well, OK then, WHO’S my candidate in the general, you tell me? ;)
“WHOS my candidate in the general, you tell me?”
There is only one Republican candidate left...it’s Donald Trump
And since he has not yet earned my vote, I currently have no candidate for the general, QED.
Hence my earlier statement about not having a candidate ;)
I have no idea what your motive is, but after nearly a year of this, I find it a bit odd there is someone left still searching for a candidate. We had a whole boat full of politicians running. But you never found a candidate? Are you a current or former Cruz supporter?
Again, youre choice is boiling down to Trump or Hillary Clinton, if you approve of Trump or not.
This is not complex.
Great post.
It is easy to be a conservative in Texas. It takes courage and integrity to be one in NY and CT.
When Freepers understand that they will get why Trump is such a strong candidate and Cruz would have been a weak one.
Trump has spent about $30,000 per delegate for almost 1000 delegates
Ted Cruz has spent $230,000 per delegate. He has spent 7.5 times the money Trump has spent for each delegate. That’s the kind of efficiency Trump will bring to DC.
As it wanes, the former Cruz movement , could be morphed into a vessel designed as a launching pad for the hillary trojan horse army.
This is but another level of work in progress. The “truee belivers” and followers would continually whine about Trump, to try to get people to see that Hillary is the only alternative to stop Trump and KEEP MOVING towards their vision of open borders, and usher in the reign of the “destroy US sovereignty” crowd.
They will say “in many ways Hillary is just as conservative as Trump... or even more so”.
I have actually seen statements like that here already. I am sure others have as well. The opus harvest season may be stretching out a bit it seems.
It’s more complex than you’re making it out to be certainly.
There are third-party candidates, of course, and there is the simple fact that not everyone views being ‘Not-Hillary’ as a compelling reason to make a positive assertion of support (in the form of one’s vote) for any given candidate.
We could, of course, go back to the old ‘Voting one’s conscience’ vs. ‘Voting strategically’ argument, but that boils down to a matter of personal philosophy and thus, I don’t think, can either side be productively argued here.
I finally figured it out...your real name is Amanda Carpenter
Are you a current or former Cruz supporter?
It takes more than a big house to make a big man ;)
