I’m still waiting to get my roof fixed from a late March hail storm. Gonna wait until this year’s mess is over to get the job done, though I’ve already started the process. Have a lot of time.
Keep your heads down, and I’ll keep the prayers up!

PDS = Palin Derangement Syndrome?
In Louisiana, where I live, there is really no where to go because of the water table which prevents building an underground structure. Every time we get one my wife asks where shall we go. My answer is pray it doesn’t come this way.
I’ve been told that there’s no roof in Texas more than five years old.
PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION
Had that problem living in Michigan, where we had several close calls with tornadoes each Summer. Was living in a house on a slab foundation with no basement. Once I packed the family in a Ford Escort and outran it (would not recommend that).
My Daughter is just barely in the zone in NE Oklahoma.
They have a safe room which will handle a tornado but you always worry.

'Tis the season. I'm in the box, but also on standby, so can't go chase...
If you dig down 4 feet or so you are likely to hit water here, which is why there are no basements. No, I wouldn’t recommend trying to out run a tornado. It’s not that they are moving fast, but rather because they can change directions very quickly. The other problem is getting stuck in a traffic jam situation. When there is absolutely no place to go and it is getting close, find the lowest level ground like a drainage ditch. Never get under an overpass either.
LOL, thought the same thing.
Hope folks are safe in those areas - and/or able to take shelter.
Oops, I mentioned Nully’s movie......
Same problem with Michigan. Very swampy conditions. I’ve gone walking in the woods and sunk in to my mid-calf. The mosquito is their state bird.
LOL< I hear ya, same here.
Wow, that is one huge freaking watch box!
Heh... mine is one year old. Hail.
One of these days, gotta rent it.....when I can.
