Will Bernie Sanders do to Hillary Clinton what Ted Kennedy did to Jimmy Carter a political generation ago?
It sure looks like it.
That was when, back in 1980, Sen. Ted Kennedy sought to wrest the party nomination for president away from President Jimmy Carter, a fellow Democrat, who was seeking re-election.
It was a foolhardy attempt by Kennedy who, of course, lost, but not before he seriously damaged Carter and his prospects for re-election.

Carter damaged Carter’s re-election attempts, and was his own worst enemy. Kennedy just added fuel to the fire.

Same thing with Hillary. Bernie Sanders is not why she is losing.
If Kennedy had been able to answer a simple question from Roger Mudd, he might have beaten Carter.
