WASHINGTON North Korea now has two satellites orbiting over the United States capable of performing a surprise electromagnetic pulse attack at an altitude and trajectory that evade U.S. National Missile Defenses, a national security expert warned in an interview with Joseph Farahs G2 Bulletin.
Peter Vincent Pry told G2 Bulletin that the satellites can be commanded either to deorbit and hit a target on the ground or explode at a high altitude to create an EMP effect that would knock out the unprotected U.S. national electrical grid system and all life-sustaining critical infrastructures that depend on it.
The threat, Pry said, continues to race, hare-like, at an alarming rate, compared to the tortoise pace of our preparations.
The satellites KMS 3-2 and KMS 4 are orbiting at an altitude of 300 miles, with trajectories that put them daily over the U.S. KMS 3-2 was launched in December 2012 and KMS 4 was launched Feb. 7.
At such an altitude, an EMP could impact much of the continental United States, according to EMP experts.

BULL!
If we thought for a second they’d launched that capability we’d have already intervened.
There is no way anything launched into space has not had its radiation signature inspected. You can only shield so much if a device is a nuke. A nuke designed to be an EFFECTIVE EMP device would have to have some significant yield in addition to special design and placement.
At the same time, thinking one can sufficiently prepare for a national loss of the power grid, and survive and thrive by prepping, especially if they live in an urban area, is equal foolishness. Your supplies may buy you 3 months at best. By then, someone will have killed you for it...or the local governments will have confiscated it. You will die defended your can of beans...eventually...either at he hands of roving paramilitary groups...or at the hands of the county sheriff. The fantasy that some have that they will successfully defend those beans with their AR-15 for any extended time is just that...fantasy.
“Pry said that while the U.S. is aware of the satellites, it is unable to determine their payloads.”
Well then, you can’t make ridiculous claims regarding an EMP capability, can you?
Dear Delusional,
Pry said that while the U.S. is aware of the satellites, it is unable to determine their payloads.
Well then, you cant make ridiculous claims regarding an EMP capability, can you?
So, according to you, we’re all screwed because if the NORKs don’t nuke us the sheriff will come and take our beans! Well, that settles that then!
Let's wait until they've gotten 'there'. What could it hurt?
Since we have satellites in similar orbits, “taking them out” would endanger our satellites as well. Not a good idea. The resulting debris will remain in orbit for many months after. Once we develop and perfect that tractor beam we’ll be able to yank them out of orbit with no resulting debris.
bttt
Sounds like time for an ASAT test.
At first pass I thought you wrote "weekend nation" - which is what we've become; a nation that lives for the weekend, parties, leisure, big screen TVs, a population totally tuned out to reality. People say that the US is not mentioned in the Book of Revelations but I often wonder it it's US being referred to when Jesus says "as it was in the days of Noah..." This nation is so preoccupied with who's pissing in who's bathroom, what team is leading their division, what really killed Prince, better boycott N Carolina, and on and on. So we've had NORK satellites in geo-synchronous orbit since 2012? Who knew? Virtually no one. One day the lights will go out and stay out.
Yep...
I can’t understand why people keep searching for things to be frightened of...
I do understand the need to be vigilant, but it’s getting ridiculous...
The former Livermore nuc scientist I know doesn’t. He worked on them until we treated them away.
Under most prior administrations I'd agree. But all bets are off with this regime.
No, they do not. NK does not have the technology to do this.
OK, how about this alternative. A cheap little guided retro-rocket pack that will self-attach to the offending satellite and send it back to Earth? No debris, just a pretty burn up on the way down.
Thank you, Mr. Know-It-All.
If General MacArthur had not had to report to a President Harry (S for nothing) Truman we wouldn’t have lost the war in Korea. In short, we’d be far better off had Harry continued selling hats in Missouri.
Of course we’d have had someone other than FDR occupying the White Hut, and the depression would have ended quicker and we wouldn’t have had to save Europe from Hitler.
If we hadn’t allowed Stalin to take over Eastern Europe and drove his mongoloid troops back to their motherland, we wouldn’t have had a Korea, or a Vietnam or a Communist China. There would be no Castro in Cuber. There would be no Mexicans streaming over our border. Saddam Hussein would still be in Iraq making Jews and Christians happy and would still be terrorizing Iraq.
I believe that a ‘decisive’ victory in Europe would have caused Conservatives of the Right to be elected an re-elected as president and we would have an entirely different ideological make up in the now disgraced Congress. The SCOTUS would be mae up much differently as well.
As it is it appears that we deserve the poor excuse for a president and an American squatting in the White Hut and be in mortal danger of losing not only our nation, but our very lives.
