What a beautiful thought! A return to a TRADITIONAL Christmas, in the White House, with such a beautiful family!
It has been a very long time coming.
Christmas 2009 I remember reading about how M.O. went through the White House Christmas Ball collection and threw them out. I did not keep or bookmark the article, and I dearly wish I had.
The White House Christmas Ball Collection dated back many many years ago, with balls from each of the years and different Administrations. They were said to be exquisite and invaluable.
I remember having a conversation about it with a fellow librarian at the time. We were both so shocked.
But, I can’t find any verification of it actually occurring.
Has anyone else a memory of this?
That it has and it SHALL be a VERY “traditional” kind of Christmas, for a change. I can’t wait! :-)
