Christmas 2009 I remember reading about how M.O. went through the White House Christmas Ball collection and threw them out. I did not keep or bookmark the article, and I dearly wish I had.
The White House Christmas Ball Collection dated back many many years ago, with balls from each of the years and different Administrations. They were said to be exquisite and invaluable.
I remember having a conversation about it with a fellow librarian at the time. We were both so shocked.
But, I can’t find any verification of it actually occurring.
Has anyone else a memory of this?
MOOshell probably gave them to the BLM types, or auctioned them off for new menus for the schools of America.
Sorry, I don’t recall the Tossing of the Ornaments by mo, and I don’t see how she could get away with that as they are the property of the people...kinda like the silverware Hillary wasn’t supposed to toss (into the trunk of her car).
