Wilkes-Barre, PA
Wilkes-Barre was founded in 1769 and formally incorporated in 1806. The city grew rapidly after the discovery of nearby coal reserves and the arrival of hundreds of thousands of immigrants. The city reached the height of its prosperity in the first half of the 20th century when its population reached just over 86,000. Following World War II, the city's economy declined and the Knox Mine disaster accelerated this trend when large portions of the area's coal mines were flooded. Today the city has a population of 41,498, making it the 13th largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

No Todays Trivia as I can barely keep up with this man posting where the rallies are with a few photos. So, like in times past, lets spend the day in prayer and meditation for Trump and his family, our precious country and the people that are the forum. Has anyone heard from our dear friend WVKayaker? Hes down under and was down under. Lets also give thanks to Jim Robinson for having the insite years ago to start this wonderful site. More than ever, its been a welcome retreat for many of us these past difficult 8 years.
If you haven't become a monthly donor do so, even for $5 per month.
I have never even considered eating pizza with a fork.
reminds me of the American tools that eat RICE with two sticks.
That picture used to be on FR a lot years ago. I’ve only seen it a couple of times in the last year. I love it.
“Trump WILL take CA....and it will be YUUUUGE!”
I will be doing my part for Trump in California.
“OMG I hope these polls hold true!!!!!”
Me too. I hope they hold up or are underestimating Trump.
I have when it was too hot to pick up.
I do eat pizza with a fork and knife (explained up thread why - just something I got used to doing in business settings).
I wish I knew how to use chopsticks - most of my former colleagues and many people around these parts can use them. I have some at home I guess I’m going to try to use them for meals and practice. I probably need to get some of the ones they have for kids that are glued together - LOL!
lol
Once upon a time I date a guy whose last name was Sylvester. All my friends called me Tweety! You just made me smile!!
let it cool down a bit....
Pizza smoking hot is not good.
Meet the Vigilantes Who Patrol Trumps Rallies

It was Friday night and Chris Cox was sitting at the No Name Saloon in Edgewater, Florida, planning a pro-Trump rally during Daytona Bike Week, when he looked up at the television in the bar. Protesters were clashing with Donald Trumps supporters inside a packed Chicago arena, forcing the campaign to cancel the event and urge everyone to leave in peace.
The TV comes on and theres chaos and mayhem in Chicago and all we could do is shake our heads, said Cox. At that moment we couldnt really see our role. We were in shock. But over the next couple days we heard cries from our other members. Can you come to this rally? Can you come to that rally?
More at link............
This Trump supporter (in the grocery line) said she watches every rally!! I was about to ask her where she watched the rallies....and to mention we FReeper’s....and the next thing I know...the elderly lady in front of me had somehow pushed her basket in BACKWARDS and was unable to back it out of the lane.
I got distracted a bit, having to get her basket backed out...LOL.
After all of that dear woman’s (in front of me) troubles....I discovered that I ended up purchasing, and bringing home, her pimento cheese spread :- /
I just checked out your home page.
Obviously you have a problem with Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Only kidding lol
So besides your home state what state was your favorite visit?
what area of the USA is your favorite?
These stories are near and dear to my heart. Thank you for posting it. I believe we will be hearing and reading about many more as the campaign continues..........
“Pizza smoking hot is not good.”
Amen to that! Ever take a bit when the toppings feel fine, but the sauce underneath is the temperature of lava?! Also, if it’s too hot, you don’t get the full flavour.
lol
I just have not been to those states yet! lol
I really enjoy going to Seattle. I have vacationed there alone a few times and just like walking around and the weather is terrific! I lived in San Diego for many years and loved it. I lived in Texas and the people were awesome but the weather and bugs, not so much. I grew up in Vermont and it was beautiful. I really enjoy the whole country. I am fortunate to have met just wonderful people.
I love stories like that, Jane.
The ripples of the Trump Effect range farther than anyone realizes.
That’s just the headline.
KASICH LOSES TO PANCAKE
Stuck in a mound of syrup that has become known as “pancakegate” John Kasich has conceded.
Says Kasich, “there is no longer a pathway for me to eat my way to Victory.”
With Donald Trump, Kasich has finally bitten off more than he can chew....
I think that non-Asians that use chopsticks are being pretentious.
How in gods name is eating rice with two sticks easier that using a FORK?
People around here that use chopsticks just want other people around here to see them doing it.
soothes their ego’s...
I find it embarrassing....
I spent 21 years in Seattle, and I wish I could have stayed when I retired. But I was priced out thanks to the software industry.
