I am so happy we have Paul Manafort on our side. The old pro has greatly enhanced Donald Trump’s chances. Both are about the same age which helps when it comes for The Donald to take Manfort’s advice.
Trump age 69
Manfort age 67
And both have been kicking around for a long time

wikipedia-—
“Manafort was born in New Britain, Connecticut, on April 1, 1949.[1] He graduated from Georgetown University in 1971 with a B.S. and a B.A., and from Georgetown University Law School in 1974 with a J.D. His grandfather James Manafort immigrated to the USA from Italy in 1919. His father, Paul J. Manafort Sr. served in with the Army combat engineers in World War II and was mayor of New Britain. The name Manafort means “Strong Hand” in Italian.”

I read that Manafort is in this for the thrill of winning the game
Helps him to stay emotionally detached and deal coldly with an arrogant novice like Cruz
I also read he is working pro bono
Interesting if true
Glad he is on Team Trump

Yeah, this guy Manafort is really spectacular.

Just love his demeanor, his voice, the way he never wastes words -- even his occasional smile is a winning one.

He's a cooler version of Trump, but definitely the same iron fist inside the velvet glove kind of guy.

Besides Trump himself, I can't think of another person in his whole election cycle who has the gravitas and grace under pressure of Manafort.

What a splendid Chief of Staff he would make -- hope Trump finds a good place for him in his administration.

The excellent people Trump picks to surround him are all part of the beautiful package we get. And Manafort is absolutely shaping the public image of the Trump team as solid, trustworthy, careful -- and yes, presidential.

And the way he praises "the boss" shows his loyalty to Trump and all the others on the Trump Train.

Way to go, Donald.

“Strong Hand” - how apt is that??

We should also bear in mind that Manafort and Trump know things that are not shared publicly, including for example, the ongoing discussions they are having with the RNC. I am totally convinced we are watching Kabuki theater where Preibus reads his lines and so do Trump and Manafort, but the private back-channel discussions that are going on are entirely different. It’s the art of the deal, man! And in that game, Trump also has “strong hands” ;-)

Did you forgot the part where Manafort hired himself out to Putin’s stooges to re-install the communists in power temporarily in Ukraine after they were ousted by the Orange Revolution? Or ignore that part? That is in the same Wikipedia article in its last section.

Mana fort
Mano Fuerte in Latin
Hands that are strong in English.
That’s why Trump hired him
