NBA Commish: ‘Necessary’ to Change Bathroom Law to Hold All-Star Game in Charlotte
breitbart ^ | 4/23/16 | rj marlowe

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver put his foot down on Thursday, asserting that for the 2017 All-Star Game be held in Charlotte, it is “necessary” that North Carolina change its law mandating people use only public restrooms corresponding to their biological sex in government buildings.

This moves the discussion to a more definitive stance than the NBA adopted earlier in the month. In an apparent threat, Silver said that he did not know what impact the “discriminatory law” would have on the league’s ability to showcase the game in the Tar Heel state. Silver added that the law is “problematic for the NBA in North Carolina.”

According to Dan Feldman at NBC Sports, “The league is so far ahead on this issue, it deserves praise rather than nitpicking over an evolving message.” He believes that the NBA could still hold the All-Star Game weekend in Charlotte because of viability issues, but that is unlikely given the amount of time before the event scheduled for next February.

NBA icon Charles Barkley and Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy already called for the game to be moved from Charlotte. Entertainers Bruce Springsteen, Boston, and Pearl Jam have also canceled concerts in North Carolina in protest of the law. Recently PayPal jettisoned its plan for a global operations center in Charlotte, which likely cost the state up to 400 new jobs.

Friday, President Obama speaking in London weighed in on the issue saying he thinks that the laws in North Carolina and the “religious freedom law” in Mississippi are “wrong and should be overturned.” Admitting that they are crafted by good people, he stated, “Although I respect their different viewpoints, I think it’s very important for us not to send signals that anybody is treated differently.”

I see that you want “women” in the men’s restroom and “men” in the women’s restroom.

After months of supporting Trump, this post has gotten me to realize that I despise this thinking, and I will not vote for Trump.

I am sure the NBA are ignorant of state statutes against indecent exposure. I will refresh these nitwits in case they are too lazy to find out for themselves:

North Carolina Indecent Exposure Laws

Code Section

North Carolina General Statutes §14-190.9
What is Prohibited

Intentionally exposing your “private parts” in a public place in front of another person.

Aggravated Indecent Exposure: Doing the same thing, but in front of a child under 16 years old and for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification.
Definition of “Private Parts”

Male and female genitalia;
Buttocks are not considered “private parts;”
Currently women’s breasts are not considered “private parts,” but there has been an effort to change that part of the law

Penalties

Indecent Exposure: Class 2 misdemeanor: Up to 30 days in jail, and/or a fine of up to $1,000, probation, community service.

Aggravated Indecent Exposure: Class H felony, (North Carolina has a sentencing grid that determines the sentence range for any felony offenses), fines, community service, and possible lifetime sex offender registration.
Exceptions to the Law

Breastfeeding (public or private)
Sexually oriented businesses like strip-clubs and topless bars may be permitted to allow nudity or partial nudity when it is allowed by the local government.

Aiding and Abetting Anyone who aids another person in indecent exposure or motivates another person to expose his or herself in public can also be charged with this act. -

****Moslems the world over believe, and rightly so in many cases, that the USA is filled with godless heathens that are followers of Satan himself. Little wonder that they feel justified in murdering us. Not that I would ever be a moslem, but put yourself in their shoes for a moment, and think about what our society has become****

Our society has been growing sicker by the decade, but we have nothing on the Muslims. They have children as brides, boys as concubines, women as chattel and murder at a whim.

They only feel justified in murdering us because satan the deceiver has convinced them it is not evil, but good.

The NBA has all male players.

That is an outrage. They should allow 50% female players or boycott themselves.

The hell with boycotts. Lobby the legislators to raise income taxes on non-residents working in the state. That hits every visiting player. If sports leagues persist in this stupid course of action, raise their business licenses and the state AG can pursue criminal charges for attempting to bribe legislators.

Also, there’s always surprise drug raids into visiting locker rooms, diligent enforcement of traffic rules.

It is the Charlotte Hornets again with Michael Jordan owning the team now.

Still I think all the boycotters are shooting themselves in the foot. The only ones they piss off are a lot of people who had nothing to do with the whole thing in the first place.

The NBA is part of the media and we know where they stand on this issue. I don’t watch much sports and I wouldn’t take my kids to one of their games. One look at their players makes me think they had a job fair in Ferguson.

North Carolina need not be beholden to Adam Silver. Or the hypocrites in the once-great rock band Boston. Or the thugs at Pay Pal.

They don’t get to write law.

Make all restrooms small…one person operations…with the business deciding how many one person restrooms it needs to satisfy customer demands and where they are located. Customers can wait in line.

I hear you.

My best recommendation is for you to find a Bible believing and preaching congregation to join. The Church is where we find imperfect but like minded brothers and sisters who help us in our journey.

“By this all people will know you are my disciples—if you have love for one another.” One big way the early church was able to withstand the persecution from Rome (being thrown to wild beasts, etc.) was by being a great example of love and caring. The culture and the government hated the church but couldn’t ignore the witness it gave. Eventually, God’s Spirit awoke many people and the church began to impact the culture in a positive way.

The same can happen today.

Be a part of the REAL revolution.
