Chelsea Clinton wants voters to know the death of Justice Scalia represents a real opportunity for her mother to change America’s gun laws.
“It matters to me that my mom also recognizes the role the Supreme Court has when it comes to gun control,” Chelsea said at an appearance in Maryland Thursday. “With Justice Scalia on the bench one of the few areas where the Court actually had an inconsistent record relates to gun control,” she added.
“Sometimes the court upheld local and state gun control measures as being compliant with the second amendment and sometimes the court struck them down. So if you listen to Moms Demand Action and the Brady Campaign and major efforts pushing for smart, sensible and enforceable gun control across our country–which in disclosure have endorsed my mom–they say they believe the next time the court rules on gun control it will make a definitive ruling.
“So it matters to me that my mom is the only person running for president who not only constantly makes that connection but also has a strong record on gun control and standing up to the NRA,” Chelsea added.
She also said that her personal concern about gun control has increased since having a child, saying of the families of victims of the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting, “I can’t even imagine that living horror and tragedy.”

Well, my local sporting goods store has a gun range in the basement. It's really nice. Behind the line it's made up to look like a hunting lodge. Sometimes I go down there just to observe.
Five years ago most people on the range looked like some version of Jed Clampett (and that includes me). Now there's a lot of young women. Sometimes the majority of the shooters on the line are young women.

Chelsea’s comments ought to scare the crap out of anyone that actually believes constitution means something. Her words, naive as they sound, are stunning. The SCOTUS not intended to make/twist law to fit a socialist agenda as the left seems to think. It’s is there to interpret existing law and settle legal disputes when there is a disagreement of that interpretation. We are doomed as a free nation if Hillary or Bernie gets into the White House. I’m not even comfortable for them to be there even as a visiting tourist.

Look at it this way, if I were one of these politicians, I would want absolute gun control as in confiscation.
I read that ALL former VA governors, including now-Sen. Kaine, acknowledged that what McAuliffe has attempted to do here thru an Executive Order violates the VA Constitution. Apparently Kaine had a formal opinion on the matter.
I would imagine action will be taken against this. McAuliffe’s hope probably is that his EO will be in effect in November, and after that he just doesn’t care.
If her mother is elected, I doubt she'll let the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, or anything else stop her agenda.
And she isn't going to jail before the elections, so we'll have to beat her on the issues.
If you really advocated for women you would encourage them to buy a gun and learn to use it. You would also demand public restrooms for women only.
I love it when these commie libs openly admit that the SCOTUS has absolutely nothing in common with the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. SCOTUS is just another two bit tool for the political activists.

You know what, I'm sure you're a busy girl so I'll help you out there Chelsea - don't bother. You won't find any because it has never happened. Every place that is large enough to be statistically significant that has implemented "gun control" or bans or confiscation etc. has seen an increase in crime - even gun related crime! These increases aren't just transient either, they have been significant and sustained.
Now Chelsea, I realize this may be hard for your libtard-indoctrinated brain to comprehend but it really is quite simple. There are two driving factors, two irrefutable and un-alterable realities that make this result not only predictable, but inevitable. One, firearms are not just used for criminal activities but also by law-abiding people to defend themselves. Take away law abiding citizens' firearms and they are that much less effective at defending themselves - crime increases. Two, when you take away law abiding citizens' firearms, then only the criminals have firearms. Even the criminals without firearms realize their potential victims no-longer have them. This is a boon for criminals and emboldens them to increased criminal activity.
So Chelsea dear, the cold hard truth is "gun control" has not, does not, and never will make anyone any safer. Well, other than criminals. So, now that you are aware of the facts, any continued advocacy for "gun control" would indicate that you are not interested in public safety, but instead something else - a disarmed populace. Now why would big-government control-freak fascist wannabes want a disarmed populace... I'm going to guess it is not to enhance freedom and liberty...

Not bloody likely, given the hundreds of millions of dollars in the Clinton Foundation. That money will ensure the Clintons will have personal security guards down the generations.

The only reason any government wants its people disarmed is to be able to do things to them that they would not tolerate if they were armed.
