How long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? (Vanity)
4/23/2016 | Myself

Posted on 04/22/2016 10:11:45 PM PDT by Crucial

The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is egregious. It seems it was created to cripple the economy of the next incoming president by hamstringing American taxpayers. The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is either the average cost of a bronze plan for however many months you didn't have coverage or 2.5% of your income, whichever is greater. I used an online ObamaCare tax penalty calculator. So if you are a married couple making $50,000 per year and you couldn't afford the marketplace premiums for the whole year, you would pay $2,085. That's a pretty big payment just for insurance and it is money that won't go back into the economy. This amount is assuming the price of these plans stays at their present levels which we all know they won't.

So my question is how long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? Can he not suspend the ObamaCare tax without Congressional approval?

There are even plenty of single college students who would appreciate not having to pay this tax as well as young people not in in college. Yet, Trump just says he's going to replace it with something wonderful and gives no timetable. I think it's time to flesh out a plan before running against the Hildebeast.

Roflol. He says a lot of things.

Which one does he mean.

He is most likely going to ‘fix’ it with ‘single payor’ since he loves the Canadian system so much.

The Canadian system is failing and Trump can see that. One of the benefits of being a business is not being wield to ideology. This allows Trump to evaluate ideas based on actual past results.

There's a odd movie I called: “The Barbarian invasions” by French Canadian film company that exposes both the rotten core of liberalism and the crap that the healthcare system of Canada is. It can be a disturbing film and isn't family fare.

One of the many reasons why Cruz’s campaign is in its death throes is that he has put forth virtually no solid proposals nor workable solutions to anything

You haven't looked very hard then. Here's his position on nine separate areas, more than Trump has on his site. The Cruz solutions are more detailed and actually go a long way towards delivering solutions. Trump's ideas are pie-in-the-sky.

I’ve been there. That is where I first discovered he didn’t even have a section on healthcare. One of the most pressing domestic issues of our time, and crickets from the great conservative savior.

His website contains a whole lot of boob bait, an obnoxious amount of self-congratulation and a glaring dearth of actual solutions. Kind of like Cruz himself.

He doesn’t want to repeal it. He has said so.

Cruz would repeal it on his first day in office.

Trump wants to tinker with it.

Beware of Trump... he will shaft you in so many ways.

Cruz has pledged to repeal Obamacare on day one.

Trump has never pledged to repeal it at all.

He wants to play around with it.

Wake up, Trumpers before it is too late.

As soon as he is in you’ll hear the cry of “amend it, don’t end it”

Call me on it in 2017 if I’m wrong.

I very much disagree. There are two elements of his plan that will not only completely reform our broken health care system, but will make enormous inroads in cutting government spending.

And which are those?

He praised the system during the debates...

Perhaps he needs eye glasses

Because Cruz's position all along is repeal Obamacare, period. Not repeal and replace. Because he, like most people, understand that there is nothing the government can do that won't be either horrifically expensive or will do nothing. Currently Trump's written plan will do nothing. In campaign rallies he's also expressed interest in the horrifically expensive solution as well. So who knows?

His website contains a whole lot of boob bait, an obnoxious amount of self-congratulation and a glaring dearth of actual solutions. Kind of like Cruz himself.

It would be more accurate to apply your description to the Trump website.

Hello? Cruz does not give a copulating rats behind about Kennedy care... Cruz has deceived himself that he is http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/heidi-cruz-face-of-god and has attempted to sow that deception across this nation.

Number 5 and number 7 are major changes that would break the back of the monopolies in health care that are causing the underlying problems with the entire system. Karl Denninger has been crowing about this problem for years and he ran the numbers on what this plan could mean to just the federal budget and the numbers are astounding (can’t remember the exact figures offhand) and that’s not even factoring in the cost in savings to the private sector.

He hasn’t promoted it a whole lot, but his health care plan is a serious game changer.

Number 5 is available for anyone who does their homework. Number 7 would not only require people to want to buy the insurance across state lines and for those companies to want to sell it. In my reply 102 I pointed out a number of problems that work against that happening.

He hasn’t promoted it a whole lot, but his health care plan is a serious game changer.

In my reply 105 I mentioned the reasons why I disagree.

Cruz has lost. At this point he’s doing the bidding of his GOPe masters by staying in the race to split the party and give the win to Hillary.

No real conservative would do that, just as no real conservative would support a candidate who would.
