There is something very sick about people who are attracted to this breed. It’s absurd to use the “tabula rasa” argument on pure bred dogs whose temperaments have been selected out for breeding for dozens of generations. Blank slate? Then show me a pit. that can heard sheep or lead the blind! Throw those parents into jail!
Pit Bull Type dogs have been bred for dogfighting for hundreds of years by “dogmen”. The dogs are just doing what they have been bred for. The traits desired are: high prey drive, attack without warning, gripping, tearing, and killing, incredible strength, particularly in the jaw, the ability to ignore pain, and “gameness” - the willingness and desire to fight. Research the terms “break stick” and “turn on”. In addition, studies have been done on the temperament and personality traits of pit bull-type owners, too.
