ESPN has fired Curt Schilling. The company said that his speech went against company values because ESPN is an inclusive company.
Whats at stake here?

It has always been the case that only Government can violate your constitutional rights.
You don't understand Christianity.
Christians believe everyone was created by God and that everyone is precious.
Christians don't hate anyone.
Christians believe certain behaviors are sinful and destructive.
Engaging in perverted sex is sinful.
Killing innocent unborn children is sinful.
This country was founded on Christian beliefs. The concept that man was endowed by his creator with certain inalienable rights is a Christian precept.
Americans believe our rights come from God and are not granted by the government. And as they are not granted by the government they can not be taken away by the government.
The ideas of the founding fathers that have made America great are today under attack.
There is an effort to deny freedom of speech for people of faith. This has been done by every totalitarian police state for the past century. All those totalitarian states failed. They are failing today.
Our great country which was built on personal freedom and personal responsibility is being destroyed.
The first amendment guarantees the right to peacefully assemble. That include for the purposes of business (employment) and the right to NOT assemble, i.e. to not be employed.
Just as the employee has the right to work for or not work for a business, so the Employer have the right to employ or not employ the worker.
It’s the price you pay for representing a company in the public eye. You have to check your opinions at the door.
If that is what you really think, then you have no idea what you are talking about concerning faith and Christianity (you didn’t say Christianity, but I believe it is implied).
I’ll leave it at that.
I spite of what you may have been led to believe ESPN is not the government.
True words. Peoples outrage is misdirected
Say what you want, but any salesman will tell you you have to know your target audience.
To your target audience, invoking faith is the worst possible tactic. You don’t need believers, you need non believers. Tell them how much money it will cost with all the lawsuits. Tell them that their rights are being infringed. Telling them that it goes against the bible is a loosing proposition from the git-go.

“It has always been the case that only Government can violate your constitutional rights.”
If anyone, as a private citizen, deprives another private citizen of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, their rights have not been violated?
If a private citizen breaks into someone’s house because she thinks there might be something of hers, no rights have been violated?
“Just as the employee has the right to work for or not work for a business, so the Employer have the right to employ or not employ the worker.”
Really? Do you own a business?
Try hiring only straight, white male employees.
And where in our Constitution does it say that a private property owner gives up their rights when they are “...in the public eye”?
I have owned a business, my wife as well.
And your point is EXACTLY the description of the problem.
What about the rights of the employer to hire and/or fire as they wish?
If anyone, as a private citizen, deprives another private citizen of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, their rights have not been violated?
No. Your constitutional rights are those rights found in the Bill of Rights and later amendments. The "right" to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are flowery words found in the Constitution but basically do not amount to anything of substance or legal relevance.
If a private citizen breaks into someones house because she thinks there might be something of hers, no rights have been violated?
No - not constitutional rights. In your scenario, statutory laws have been violated. Those laws exist to protect fundamental rights. But, again, we're talking about constitutional rights.
The reality is that ESPN’s idea of being “inclusive,” while pretending to be focused on American sport, does not extend to wanting a legitimate American sports hero to work for them; not if he dares to think for himself.
Agree 100 %
“The “right” to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are flowery words found in the Constitution”
Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are found in the Declaration of Independence not the Constitution.
Ehh, my mistake. But they still hold zero legal relevance, as is the case with the rest of the Declaration of Independence.
That is what I am talking about with regards to the first amendment freedom of assembly.
